It is easy for men to follow into the trap of assuming women want what men want, and women go about the same way. Not only are motivations different from person to person but the difference between gender is often market.
One of the worst things someone can do is assume thing using their own measure of what "makes sense". Empathy can go a long way to understanding another, but some pragmatism can be called for at times, too.
It's important to remember that women ARE different than men, biologically but also culturally.
